We are exploring leadership skills across the globe, though we have a champion in front of our eyes. I refer to our Mom / Mother / Amma / Mummy; we could learn many things from our home’s first lady.

Have you ever thought about how consistent she is?

No matter what day, She gets up early in the morning and ensures the children at home get what they need to start their day. The list begins with the morning refreshment, different types of breakfast according to the children’s taste, pressing their dress, and So on this list never ends. She has been doing this CONSISTENTLY from the day we know. On the contrary, think of a day when she does not do all this household and support us. We end up shouting at her.

What is the motivation to be consistent? The family’s wellbeing is the only motivation and a definite purpose of her life. The purpose pushes her day in and day out to be consistent and ensures the family is happy.

I observed and learned repository management from her — Organising.

Have you ever noticed she misplaced or forgot about something she put? I haven’t, and she has organized everything well in the home. Most of the time, she helps her children get things they have misplaced. In our world, we miss a file which we were using the day before. We search that for half a day; sometimes, it gets to an extent we take up a course to understand why we forget things.

Yeah. I found a servant leader!

PMI refers to a servant leader who carries food and water for the team and motivates them to excel to their fullest potential.

For the success of the family, the mother also does the same. When her children go with an impediment or a blocker in personal / Professional goal, she always there to support. I remember, in the year 2016, I planned to buy a car. The plan was to clear my savings and get a loan for the remaining amount. Explored many money lending options but was not wealthy enough to pay the monthly bills. So I thought I would drop the plan. I spoke to my Mom about this. She gave me a brilliant idea which saved me from monthly bills.

This instance is just one example, but I can give plenty of cases to motivate me to achieve my family’s full potential.

My favorite, to Retrospect.

In my school days; Every month, there was a big discussion during the month’s ends. I used to be surprised to see my parents calculating the expenditure. The debate used to be this, how did the month go, how do we improve our saving next month, and the immediate actions we can take. I never realized this would be a technique; The whole world will run behind and pay the facilitator a lot.

Likewise, every management best practice or technique is around us within our family; when we start looking around, we never know we learn a lot.

This blog is my reflection and learning from my Mom. Hope this helps you relate with your day to day activities. If you have more thoughts about it, please do comment. Like and share this with your friends. I appreciate your time to read this.
