I have a fear that I am not consistent.

I reflect on my life. I often get tired of routines and break the consistency chain. The rate of breaking the consistency chain is directly proportional to how we compare our lives with others. The funniest thing is, I try the things that worked for others and never continue to see the results that inspired me to try that.

I break the consistency because we get bored to do the same thing again and again. I seek motivation from the short term results. When I don’t get results, I break the chain.

How do I overcome my fear?

Is there a checklist that I can stick to to be consistent?

Should I follow the 21-day rule so from the 22nd-day stucks to my mind and become a routine?

What do I need to do? I researched and reflected more on my daily routine and lifestyle.

Two simple things worked for me,

  1. A definite purpose.
  2. A plan.
  3. A mindset to achieve that.

Something I learned from my grandfather, who is no more with us. He is a political worker for one of the leading parties in Tamilnadu. The main goal of his life is to stay healthy and happy. Touchwood lived his life king size. A Definite purpose is to remain healthy and happy. An adaptive mindset to help, wherever he is, he adapts to the situation so well. The daily routine for his health habits for over 50 years was wake up — go for a walk — get a newspaper — read it after bath have coconut water or buttermilk, and the regular daily routine.

Try this 3 step process. Many people knowingly / unknowingly got consistency in their lives, which intern gave a lot of motivation for their success.

Few examples:

Consistency in physical exercise gives good physical and mental health.

Consistency in practicing your passion gives you excellence.

Consistency in investing time with your family makes a great family.

Consistency in investing money gives wealth.

Do share this with your friends and family. Share your thoughts and comments. Any other techniques that worked for you, I am happy to learn.
